They met Swarai Meru, the newly appointed Engineer-in-Chief for the Nagaland Public Works Department. Union president Pele Khezhie and general secretary John Kath led the delegation to offer formal congratulations.

Talks focused on the relationship between the state and the contracting community. The union pushed for better communication and coordination to help finish public works on time. Meru heard the group's vision for his term. They want a productive working environment for all involved.

The union pledged its full support to Meru as he takes on his new duties. The group aims to ensure infrastructure projects benefit the public. "The Union assured its full cooperation and support in the discharge of his responsibilities, pledging to work closely with the Department in the larger interest of infrastructure development and the people of the state."

The meeting remained friendly. Both parties agreed that constant engagement is the best path forward. They hope to maintain this connection as future projects begin across the state.
