Contractors Union Meets New Nagaland PWD Chief

Kohima: The Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers Union met Swarai Meru at the PWD office in Kohima this Wednesday. Meru recently took charge as the Engineer-in-Chief of the Nagaland Public Works Department. Union president Pele Khezhie and general secretary John Kath led the delegation.

The group offered congratulations on his new role. They discussed how to better handle public works across the state. The union wants more communication between department officials and the contracting community. Better coordination keeps projects on track. The union specifically noted they want to "foster a conducive environment for the smooth and timely execution of public works across Nagaland."

Both parties held a constructive meeting. The union promised full support to Meru. They aim to work together on state infrastructure. The session ended with a call for mutual understanding between the department and its suppliers.
