Arunachal Pradesh saw three athletes join the Indian contingent at the Glasgow games. Among them, Khyoda Talik grabbed a gold medal as part of the men's kata team, earning praise from Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein.

The state credits Talik's success to the Chief Minister's Athlete Coaching and Empowerment Scheme. Khandu noted that the initiative provides the support needed to groom local talent for the global stage.
