Imphal: Manipur Director General of Police Mukesh Singh spent November 8 celebrating Diwali with soldiers at Naranseina. He arrived at the Bishnupur district base alongside the ADGP of Law and Order and the DIG of Armed Police. Security forces stood at attention. A Guard of Honour greeted the top brass upon their arrival at the 2nd India Reserve Battalion post.

Senior officers dropped the rank to serve meals at a Bada Khana for the 2nd IRB and CRPF jawans. They joined the troops in the festivities to mark the holiday. During the trip, the DGP officially opened a new gym for the unit to use. The event recognized the sacrifice of those serving far from home. Singh noted the goal of the visit was to highlight the "spirit of camaraderie and unity among security personnel" while the troops spent the festive season on duty.
