Agartala: Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury toured the Sachindranagar eco-tourism and adventure park in Jirania on Wednesday. The site sits under construction. It draws design inspiration from Kolkata’s Nicco Park. Chowdhury inspected the progress alongside Tourism Department Secretary Uttam Kumar Chakma, Director Prashant Badal Negi, local leaders, and project contractors.

The park aims to blend nature with adventure. It serves as a core piece of the state's plan to grow tourism. Officials expect the facility to finish construction within the next year. Opening the gates will pull in local and global visitors alike.

Chowdhury claimed the park will build up the regional economy. "The project would create new employment opportunities and contribute to strengthening the state's economic foundation," he stated. Local residents joined the site visit to monitor the progress of the venture.
