Agartala: A group of seven students and staff from Tripura will visit Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. They head there for the Raksha Bandhan festival on August 28. The trip marks a rare chance to meet the President of India.
Abhijit Samajpati, the state nodal officer for the event, leads the delegation. He arrived in the capital today to finalize plans. The School Education Department selected the team after reviewing nominations from the West Tripura District Education Officer. The group includes OSD Abhijit Samajpati, teachers Biswajit Bhowmik and Biplab Deb, and four students.
The traveling students attend Netajinagar English Medium SB School. The group features Meheresia Sarkar, Pratik Sarkar, Rike Deb, and Amit Kumar Sarkar. These children are aged 10 to 11. Teachers will stay with them for the full duration of the visit. The delegation intends to show off state traditions. "The team from Tripura will showcase the rich cultural heritage of Tripura."
