SFI Demands Police Action Over Campus Attacks in Tripura

Agartala: The Students Federation of India Tripura State Committee met with the Inspector General of Police regarding a wave of violence. SFI members submitted a formal deputation to the IGP of Law and Order today. They want results. The group claims attackers have targeted students both on and off campus grounds for the last two weeks.

Assaults hit five specific locations: Charilam English Medium School, Bharat Chandra Nagar School, MBB College, Ramthakur College, and Ramkrishna College. The organization provided police with names and addresses of the accused in their FIRs. Despite this, investigators have made zero arrests. This failure fuels fear.

SFI leaders argue that campus democracy is dying. Students can no longer voice opinions or organize peacefully without facing threats. They accused local law enforcement of staying silent while safety conditions deteriorate. The group stated, "ensuring equal opportunity and safety within campuses is essential to protect democratic values in education."

The memorandum demands immediate intervention from the IGP to stop the negligence. SFI warns that the ongoing inaction endangers the entire education system in Tripura. Police must now decide whether to track down the suspects or risk further instability in these schools.
