Students Lock Tripura School Gate Over Staffing and Facility Shortages

Agartala: Students at Kalagangar Par School in the Kadamtala block took direct action Tuesday. They chained the school gate shut to force officials to address a severe lack of teachers and basic supplies. Classes have stalled for weeks.

Students are forced to sit on the floor because the school lacks enough benches. They have issued a clear list of demands: hire more staff, provide furniture, and fix the crumbling building. They vowed to keep the school shut until leadership provides real results. The protest is spreading.

One student spoke out about the systemic neglect. "We have been raising these issues for a long time, but nothing has changed. If the government does not act now, we will escalate our movement," they said.
