Shillong: The Regional Centre for Organic and Natural Farming in Imphal teamed up with the Bio-Resources Development Centre in Shillong this week. They kicked off a two-day training program for Bio-Input Resource Centre entrepreneurs on Tuesday. The session is held at the BRDC conference hall.
Tina Merry R. Marak, the Director of the Meghalaya Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute, served as the chief guest for the inaugural session. She spoke on the necessity of natural farming for sustainable agriculture. Marak emphasized that these centers provide farmers with quality materials. She noted: "BRCs are vital for ensuring farmers have access to quality bio-inputs and stressed the need to build the technical and business skills of BRC operators across the region."
