Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha inspected the Narsingarh construction site on Sunday, August 16. He ordered contractors to finish the state’s first international cricket stadium immediately. The project stalled repeatedly for various reasons. Saha demanded progress to help local players and fans.

Construction crews expect to wrap up major tasks within 45 days. Additional work will likely take another two months to finalize. The stadium features a seating capacity of roughly 22,000 people. It meets international standards to boost local sports infrastructure.

Saha previously served as president of the Tripura Cricket Association. He confirmed he already engaged the Board of Control for Cricket in India to discuss hosting duties. "I have been waiting for a long time for the completion of Tripura’s first international cricket stadium," he stated.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to keep the pitch in top shape. Regular contact with the BCCI remains a top priority. He expects the venue to host international competition by next year. This milestone marks a major turn for the state sporting scene.
