Tripura Minister Slams Opposition Over NEET Protests

Agartala: Tripura Tourism and Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury took aim at the Congress and other opposition parties on July 23. He accused them of weaponizing the NEET paper leak controversy to stir up trouble. The BJP leader spoke at the party state headquarters in Agartala. He claimed the opposition wants to blacken the reputation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The government will not allow chaos.

Chowdhury insists the opposition spreads confusion to gain political ground rather than helping students. He warned that the state will shut down any move toward anarchy. "The opposition is trying to derive political mileage from the NEET issue by creating unrest and spreading baseless allegations against the Prime Minister and the Union Education Minister," Chowdhury alleged. He pointed out that past administrations under former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh dealt with similar scandals but let suspects walk free.

The minister claims foreign-backed forces are funding negative campaigns to hurt India on the global stage. He maintained that the Centre takes the paper leak seriously and will address it in Parliament. Prime Minister Modi plans to set up fast-track courts to try those responsible for exam breaches. The minister promised a transparent investigation. No one who messes with student futures will escape punishment.
