CPI(M) Leader M.A. Baby Predicts Impending Collapse of BJP Government

Agartala: CPI(M) General Secretary M.A. Baby declared that the Narendra Modi government is finishing its term. He touched down in Agartala on August 25 to join a state committee meeting. Baby told reporters that recent political shifts prove the party is in its final stretch. He claimed the BJP’s last days are being counted.

He pointed to chaos and corruption surrounding competitive exams like NEET as evidence of government failure. The leader praised student groups like SFI, ISF, and ISA for fueling protests. He demanded a total rewrite of the National Education Policy and dismissed the idea that firing Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan would solve the current crisis.

Baby signaled a shift in national sentiment by citing the BJP’s recent loss in the Bangipur by-election in Bihar. He expects the Left to rise again, fueled by widespread agitation from farmers, workers, youth, and women. He pointed to recent mobilizations in Agartala as proof of growing pushback against current policies.

The Tripura political scene remains tense. Baby alleged that rifts are widening between the BJP and Tipra Motha. He highlighted internal friction during the Tribal Autonomous District Council elections, noting that these political contradictions already triggered physical clashes. He expects these tensions to escalate and eventually reshape the state.
