Agartala: Tripura Opposition Leader Jitendra Chaudhury issued a sharp warning on Wednesday, August 26, regarding recent violence against the CPI(M). He confirmed the party is maintaining a detailed record of every attack on its offices and workers. Nobody will be spared.
Chaudhury spoke while inspecting a CPI(M) office in the Jogendranagar area of Agartala. The party alleges BJP workers vandalized the building on Monday. This location has reportedly faced roughly 10 previous attacks. Chaudhury claimed the ruling party acts with barbarism rather than democratic standards. He rejected any suggestion that the CPI(M) initiated the hostilities, stating, "If anyone can prove that the CPI(M) launched the first attack, we will not reopen this party office."
The Opposition Leader tied the violence to broader political tension. He claimed the BJP uses aggression to distract the public from rising power tariffs and misused public funds. Chaudhury dismissed recent government promises of a full power tariff subsidy as a false tactic to mask these failures. He further mocked the BJP for holding a thanksgiving rally directly outside the vandalized CPI(M) building.
The CPI(M) plans to escalate both political and democratic protests across the state. Party leadership insists every perpetrator is currently being identified. "Nobody involved in these attacks will be spared. We are maintaining a diary of these incidents. I do not know what the police will record or maintain, but we are keeping our own records," Chaudhury said. He added a final threat to those responsible, noting that "Prasad is being prepared for them as well."
