Piyush Goyal Slams Rahul Gandhi Over Allegations Against Election Commission

Shillong: Union Minister Piyush Goyal attacked Rahul Gandhi on Saturday. He claimed the Leader of the Opposition lacks any grasp of his constitutional duties. The conflict stems from an INDIA bloc meeting with President Droupadi Murmu. The delegation complained about vote theft allegations regarding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Goyal blasted the Congress leader for failing to bring proof. He told reporters, "It is a matter of shame that the Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, has no respect for any Constitutional authority. He has no understanding of the law or his Constitutional duties, both as a citizen of India and as the Leader of the Opposition." The Minister called the opposition's claims fake. He insisted the President only asked for evidence because the delegation arrived empty-handed.

BJP MP Sambit Patra also joined the fray. He accused Gandhi of trying to drag the President into street-level protests. Patra labeled the LoP an anarchist who ignores common courtesies. The NDA continues to dispute the accuracy of Gandhi's statements. The political standoff remains heated.
