Agartala: Tripura will host the Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra and Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on October 7. These events span all eight districts in the state. They mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in public service, dating back to his start as Gujarat chief minister in 2001.

Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury oversaw planning at the state party headquarters on Friday. The events form part of the broader Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. The BJP launched this campaign on September 17 and it ends October 17. Chowdhury wants tight coordination to keep things running right. He said, "The programmes would be organised across the country as part of the nationwide campaign and would also be held in all eight districts of Tripura."

Processions featuring the Seva Jyoti will hit the streets. Cycle and motorcycle rallies will also join the march. Organizers expect to wrap up the local events before 11 am. Once the morning sessions conclude, the state will broadcast the Prime Minister's live address.
