Agartala: Biplab Kumar Deb took his seat at the BJP national office-bearers introduction meeting on Saturday. He joined party leaders to map out the road ahead. Nitin Nabin led the session as the party national president. The gathering followed a major shake-up in the BJP organizational ranks.
Deb, the former Tripura Chief Minister and current West Tripura MP, recently scored a promotion to national general secretary. Insiders claim his past success running campaigns in poll-bound states earned him the new post. He spent the day trading notes with senior figures and his fellow office-bearers.
The highlight came during a sit-down with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Deb listened as the Prime Minister spoke to the newly minted team. He later took to social media to praise the session. Deb stated that the Prime Minister's guidance and "inspirational thoughts" would continue to motivate the organisation to strengthen itself and deepen its connection with the people.
