Agartala: Finance and IT Minister Pranajit Singha Roy officially inaugurated the T-RISE portal at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala this Monday. The launch occurred during a workshop titled Building a Unicorn in Tripura. The state aims to transform local ideas into high-growth, billion-dollar ventures.

Government officials, investors, and startup founders attended the event. The state has already received 185 applications under its New Sector-Agnostic Tripura Startup Policy. Authorities have approved 140 registrations and formally recognized 70 startups. Financial aid totaling over Rs 2.72 crore has moved into the hands of entrepreneurs through the Tri-Seed Fund and other operational grants.

The T-RISE portal functions as a single-window digital platform. It connects founders to a network of 20 mentors, 10 investors, and 10 corporate partners. These experts provide guidance on legal, financial, and technical strategy. Minister Roy spoke to the crowd about the government's long-term plan. "We are creating an enabling ecosystem through progressive policies, digital infrastructure, and strategic collaborations to attract investment, promote innovation, and generate high-quality employment," he said.

New partnerships are now active. The state signed MoUs with HDFC Bank, Amazon Seller Services, and Zoho Corporation. These deals provide startups with cloud technology, e-commerce access, and specialized financial tools. Furthermore, the state-run T-NEST incubation center in Hapania is now linked with T-Hub in Hyderabad.

The event also featured insights from Tejaswi Bhagavatula, the VP of Skyroot Aerospace. Attendees heard how the firm developed the Vikram-S and Vikram-I rockets. Officials including IT Secretary Kiran Gitte and Director Jeya Ragul Geshan B were present to support the initiative. The government intends to expand this support across agriculture, tourism, and heritage conservation sectors to drive inclusive growth across the state.
