Agartala: Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu honored the soldiers who died in the 1999 Kargil War. The state marked Kargil Vijay Diwas with a somber ceremony on Sunday at the Albert Ekka War Memorial Park in Lichubagan, Agartala. The event served to celebrate the supreme sacrifice made by those who fought to defend national sovereignty.
Nallu laid flowers at the memorial. He recalled the "extraordinary contribution of the Indian Army and the unmatched bravery of soldiers who fought in the Kargil conflict." The gathering included Army representatives, top administrative officials, and local citizens.
Everyone stood in reverence. The programme acted as a formal reminder of the soldiers' legacy. It solidified the collective commitment to honor those who died for the country.
