Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha demanded immediate action against unlicensed spa centers on Tuesday. He issued the order during a Task Monitoring System meeting at the state secretariat. Saha told officials to stop waiting for media reports or public complaints to do their jobs. He expects them to find problems themselves and fix them fast.
Kiran Gitte, the Secretary to the Chief Minister and Information and Cultural Affairs Secretary, presented data on how the government tracks media content. The meeting covered a wide range of administrative failures and service gaps. Saha insisted on better coordination between departments. He expects District Magistrates to monitor their areas closely and solve grievances with courtesy.
Illegal parking in the Golbazar area drew specific criticism. Saha ordered the Superintendent of Police for traffic to inspect the site and act. He also demanded that trauma centers stay ready to save lives at all times. Regarding public health, he told departments to push awareness programs for non-communicable diseases and maintain constant vigilance against malaria.
Maintenance of Bailey bridges topped the list of infrastructure priorities. Saha ordered immediate repairs to keep roads safe. He also turned his attention to rural dangers, specifically elephant conflicts. He wants the Forest Department to seek technical advice and build long-term solutions for people in those zones. He told the gathered officials, "No athlete should lose an opportunity because of procedural complications or unnecessary delays in official processes."
Saha also ordered performance reports on school smart classrooms. He warned that administrative red tape must not crush the careers of local athletes. District Magistrates and police chiefs from across the state attended the meeting virtually. Principal Secretaries and other senior officials also joined the session to review their performance.
