Tripura Builds India's Largest Women-Centric Pharmacy College

Agartala: Tripura is building the Milestones Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Udaipur. This project serves as the largest pharmaceutical college building in India. It also acts as the state's first women-centric campus. Architect Lourdu Rajulton A led the design phase. He focused on safety and comfort for every student.

The campus layout eliminates isolated areas. Corridors and classrooms use open visibility and natural light. Designers included nursing rooms for working mothers. A common room sits near academic blocks for easy access. Strategically placed emergency exits provide quick escape routes. The architect noted his intent, saying, "His vision challenges the conventional rigidity of Indian campuses, introducing features that combine modernity with sensitivity."

Construction ditches standard institutional rules. Open-air classrooms will bridge the gap between faculty and students. The design blends administrative and academic zones. For instance, the library connects directly to the administrative block. Faculty and HOD offices sit right inside the academic buildings to boost interaction. The project relies on natural ventilation throughout the facility to improve the environment. State officials see the site as a major symbol of innovation and progress.
