Agartala: A new pharmaceutical education hub is taking shape in Chandrapur. Crews are building the Milestone Pharmacy College on a site spanning nearly 118,900 square feet. This project represents a total investment between Rs 60 and Rs 70 crore. Local students will no longer need to travel outside the area for advanced medical training.
Matabari MLA Abhishek Debroy toured the construction site on Monday alongside institutional officials. He confirmed the facility will house courses for both Diploma in Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy degrees. The college aims to meet local demand while establishing itself as a premier institution. Debroy expects it to rank among the top five pharmacy schools in India.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will oversee the opening of the facility in the coming months. The college will also bring new jobs to the region. During his visit, MLA Debroy noted the impact of the project on the state. He stated, "The establishment of this institution marks a significant step in strengthening Tripura’s higher education infrastructure and also reflects the government’s focus on creating opportunities for youth while addressing long-standing community aspirations."
