Imphal: Security forces and the Imphal East Criminal Detection Unit caught two PREPAK members on October 12, 2026. The arrests followed intelligence tips centered on the Lamlai Police Station area. Officers moved fast. They pulled in 18-year-old Keisham Kanto Meitei of Yourabung Khunou and 52-year-old Kshetrimayum Shyam Singh of Nungoi Makha Leikai.

The pair faced accusations of planning and executing activities tied to the outfit’s Raising Day. This included handling and hanging propaganda banners around the Sawombung district. Officials noted that the pair were "alleged active cadres of the People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak." Authorities kept details of the ongoing investigation under wraps for now.
