Kohima: The NSCN-GPRN-K Michael faction moved to clear its name. It issued a formal statement on the heels of a July 26 report about two men arrested for extortion in Kohima. Police identified the suspects as Beilie Rupreo and Kevingulie Metha.
The group’s MIP issued a sharp denial. It explicitly stated that “the individuals named in the report Beilie Rupreo and Kevingulie Metha, are not associated with the organisation in any manner.” The organization further clarified that these men hold no rank or role within its ranks.
