NSCN/GPRN (YA) Issues Death Threat to Extortion Imposter

Kohima: The NSCN/GPRN (Yung Aung) is hunting for a fraudster shaking down local government departments. Officials from the group identified the man as Kakto Chopy, who goes by the alias HK Sema. He has been busy. Chopy has been squeezing large sums of money from offices in Kohima by pretending to speak for the organization.

The group’s Ministry of Information and Publicity stated the fraudster ignored previous warnings to stop the scheme. Now the patience has run out. The group issued a final warning to Chopy to cease all operations immediately or face capital punishment. The organization made its stance clear in a recent statement, noting, "The same consequences would apply to any other individuals engaged in similar activities under the name of the organisation."

Authorities are telling businesses and state departments in Kohima and Dimapur to keep their eyes open. If you see an imposter, report it. The group is putting a stop to the illegal tax collection and fraudulent activity once and for all.
