Kohima: The Chang Union Dimapur (CUD) wants immediate arrests following a violent attack on Langshi Chang. The victim, a resident of Chendang Saddle Village in Tuensang district, was targeted on September 16, 2026, at Chichema Village in Kohima district. Violence broke out without warning. The union publicly condemned the event.
The CUD issued a statement calling the assault a "barbaric act" that endangers public safety. Officials noted the victim is a daily wage earner who provides for his widowed mother and other family members. The union remains deeply hurt by the incident and stands in solidarity with him during this "incredibly difficult time."
