Kohima: The Youth Wing of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) Phek Division staged a medical camp and Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) drive in Enhulumi village on August 8. The event provided free healthcare services alongside on-the-spot insurance registration for residents. Roughly 200 people showed up for the services.
Supoyi Vezhu, the NPF Central Youth Wing Working President, opened the event. He pushed residents to use the government health benefits. He also publicly backed the leadership of NPF president and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. "He also reaffirmed the NPF Youth Wing's support for and confidence in the leadership of NPF president and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio," the party stated.
Local organizers thanked several officials for making the day possible. The list of contributors includes Power and Parliamentary Affairs Minister K G Kenye and MLAs Kudecho Khamo and Kuzholuzo Nienu. Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency Chairman Nuzota Swuro and former minister Neiba Kronu also provided support. Staff from the Department of Health and Family Welfare assisted the team on the ground. The Phek Division credited the NPF Central Youth Wing for the push to connect with citizens at the grassroots level.

The NPF Youth Wing also pushed its health outreach into Tseminyu District with a flagship event in Tsosinyu on August 8. The team worked across the district to hit multiple towns, hosting similar events in Logwesunyu and Gwachonlo.
During the Tseminyu program, COB Vice President Benjamin Lorin led an awareness session to break down the technical details of the CMHIS. He credited the Chief Minister with pushing the scheme into rural hinterlands to ensure healthcare reaches remote areas.
The Tseminyu division acknowledged the local medical fraternity for staffing the camps. They also recognized the village councils and residents of the three host villages for their participation in the drive.
