Kohima: The Naga People’s Front held an oath-taking ceremony for its 19th Assembly Constituency on July 27 at Phek Town Hall. Party members gathered to solidify their ranks. MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, advisor for the Science and Technology department, addressed the crowd. He urged workers to commit fully to the organization under the leadership of Chief Minister and NPF President Dr. Neiphiu Rio.
Nienu voiced his belief that the party will thrive under Dr. Rio. “The party would continue to grow from strength to strength while working for the welfare and development of the people.” Senior leader Vesheta Khesoh also spoke, stressing that collective commitment remains vital for the party. Zachinyi Khesoh, president of the Farmers’ Wing, celebrated the merger of the two parties and reaffirmed his backing for Nienu.
Api Vadeo, working president of the NPF Phek Division, administered the oath to the office bearers. Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, pastor of Phek Town Baptist Church, offered a dedicatory prayer. Khosheta Rhakho, secretary of the Central Organising Board, chaired the event. Pastor Veprete Lasuh of Bible Hill Baptist Church provided the invocation, and 19th A/C NPF President Lavoto Chizo delivered the welcome address.
Velapra Shijoh, secretary of the Central Organising Board, pushed members to coordinate closely across constituency and state levels. The event featured special performances by the Ruzazho Unit NPF and Sakulu Lohe. The ceremony closed as members pledged to stay united and serve the public with dedication.
