Mokokchung leads the state with a projected 102.51 mm of rainfall. Longleng follows at 100.59 mm. Other hit areas include Mon, Tuensang, Wokha, Tseminyu, Peren, Dimapur, Zunheboto, and Kohima. The authority noted: "Other districts show comparatively lower cumulative rainfall probability during the same period."
Weather patterns shift daily. August 22 brings storms to Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Longleng, and Mokokchung. Kohima, Peren, and Tseminyu face similar threats. Kiphire, Meluri, Niuland, Noklak, Phek, Shamator, Tuensang, and Zunheboto will see lighter rain. By August 23, storms hit Kohima, Tseminyu, and Shamator. Longleng and Tuensang deal with moderate downpours. August 24 sees thunderstorms sweeping across Longleng, Mon, Peren, Tuensang, Kohima, Phek, Tseminyu, Noklak, and Shamator.
Conditions persist through August 25. Heavy rain hits Longleng, Mokokchung, Mon, Tuensang, and Zunheboto. Officials keep a close watch. No evacuations or red alerts are in place yet.
