Kohima: The Naga Students' Federation put its July 27 peaceful protest on hold. The group informed the public and all stakeholders of the delay on July 26. They intend to keep the demonstration paused until further notice.
Leadership opted for this move after holding wider consultations. They are currently locked in active engagements with relevant authorities to address their specific grievances. The decision aims to give these talks time to produce results.
NSF vice president Vimeyiekho Vitso and general secretary Kenilo Kent signed the official notification. The federation warned that they are still watching the situation closely. “The Federation remains steadfast in our commitment to safeguarding students' rights and will announce the next course of action should satisfactory progress not be made,” the officials stated.
