Aizawl: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma hit back at critics on July 17. He insists his Zoram People's Movement government has delivered on core promises. Speaking at a public event in East Lungdar village, he pointed to administrative overhauls and farmer support as his administration's primary wins.

Critics claim no progress happened. Lalduhoma disagrees. "One of the key strengths of our government is its commitment to supporting and uplifting farmers. Those who claim they cannot see any change in governance simply do not wish to acknowledge them," he said.

The government now procures ginger, broom grass, chilli, turmeric, and broom bamboo at assured prices. Officials plan to grow this list soon. They are also pushing cluster-based farming to boost market access and efficiency. Farmers working the same crops will now group together.

Lalduhoma claims his team practices better financial habits than those before them. They stopped wasteful spending to protect public funds. He is also waiting on a green light for the Rs 250-crore Artahkawn-Zawlsei road project. This 65-km stretch sits in the Hrangturzo constituency and falls under the Prime Minister's Development Initiative for North East Region.
