Kohima: Residents of Meluri town and Meluri village spent October 26 cleaning their streets. They scrubbed neighborhoods and cleared trash. The massive sanitation drive arrived ahead of the Nagaland Governor's upcoming visit to the district.

Government employees joined the effort. Staff from various departments worked in their assigned zones to tidy up the area. According to a report from the DIPR, the goal was to promote hygiene and build collective responsibility among officials and the local public. They aimed to maintain a clean environment for the state leader.
