Kohima: The Children Ministry of Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima plans a two-day celebration for its golden jubilee. The event runs from October 31 to November 1 at the church under the theme, "Heritage of Hope."
Organizers tapped Dr. Adela Mero, administrator and research executive at the Rainbow Academy Resource Centre in Dimapur, to speak. Joining her is missionary Vekuthonu Perikala. Perikala brings history to the pulpit as the former superintendent of the CBCK Children Ministry and current missionary at Dharamshala.
Festivities kick off October 31. Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh will reveal the golden jubilee plaque that day. The main event follows on November 1. Rev. Khrotso Mero will release the 50th Jubilee Souvenir during the morning service.
