Kohima: The 78 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force held a community outreach event at Government Middle School in Kohima. The team arrived at Lerie Hill Colony to promote physical fitness. They brought supplies. The battalion responded directly to a formal request from school leadership seeking resources to boost local athletics.

Medical staff from the 78 Battalion operated a free health check-up camp for the children during the visit. Soldiers also handed over a cache of sports equipment to Head Teacher Tephuchano Kikhi. The gear aims to get more students active in daily games. Attendees included members of the Lerie Panchayat along with faculty and pupils.

Local leaders praised the effort. Head Teacher Tephuchano Kikhi and Lerie Colony Panchayat chairman Kevilezo thanked the force for the donation and the medical screenings. Officials noted the support will foster better health outcomes for the student body. The battalion confirmed the mission successfully addressed the specific needs identified by the school authorities.
