Meghalaya Government Appoints Two New MPSC Members

Shillong: The Meghalaya government officially tapped Dr. Kyntiewkupar Nongsiej and Proley M. Sangma to serve as members of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission. The Personnel and Administrative Reforms (B) Department issued the notification on October 29.

Dr. Nongsiej starts his tenure the moment he takes charge. Sangma steps into his position on November 3, immediately following the retirement of incumbent member A. Ch. Marak.

State officials acted under Article 316(1) of the Constitution of India. They also cited Regulation 4 of the MPSC Regulations, 1972, to formalize the hires. These administrative moves ensure the commission maintains its full roster as current terms expire.
