Meghalaya Government Assigns New IAS Officers to Key Administrative Roles

Shillong: The Meghalaya government assigned three 2024 batch IAS officers to administrative posts statewide on August 22. These assignments follow the completion of Phase-II training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie.

The officials start work immediately. Ayushi Pradhan takes over as Sub-Divisional Officer for Sadar in East Khasi Hills, Shillong. Vaibhav Anand Sharma becomes the Sub-Divisional Officer for Patharkhmah. He also picks up extra duties as Sub-Divisional Officer for Sadar in Ri-Bhoi, Nongpoh. Tolino Chishi moves to the Sub-Divisional Officer post in Raksamgre. Chishi will additionally handle the Sub-Divisional Officer role for Sadar in West Garo Hills, Tura.

The state government confirmed these assignments are part of the "mandatory field exposure and training programme for officers of the Indian Administrative Service." These placements put fresh recruits on the ground to manage local government affairs.
