Agartala: The Tripura government triggered a massive administrative shakeup today. The General Administration Department issued orders moving dozens of IAS and TCS officers to new posts. These changes take effect immediately.
Kuntal Das shed his extra duties for OBC Welfare and the state development corporation. Tamal Majumdar stepped down as Director of Urban Development but stays on as Director of Fire and Emergency Services. Nirmal Kumar moves from Khowai to Agartala, taking over as Director of Urban Development and lead of the OBC Welfare Corporation. Rimita Saha takes his former desk in Khowai.
New officers are hitting the ground. The government is rotating fresh talent into high-stakes sub-divisional offices. Officials say the goal is to improve performance across the state. Deputy Secretary H. Debbarma signed the notice stating, "The government's effort to strengthen administrative efficiency by placing newly trained IAS officers in key sub-divisional roles while reassigning experienced officers to higher responsibilities in the state capital."
Ashis Biswas moves to Agartala as Joint Director of Handloom, Handicrafts and Sericulture. Thite Shubham Bhagvan replaces him in Kanchanpur. Tarun Kanti Sarkar leaves Santirbazar for a post in Ambassa. Deepika Gautam takes his place in Santirbazar. N.S. Chakma now heads to Agartala as Joint Director of Printing and Stationery. Shubham Meena takes charge in Kumarghat.
