Tripura Government Transfers 47 Top Police Officers

Agartala: The Tripura government moved 47 police officers in a major shakeup on Thursday. The General Administration Department issued the orders for immediate effect. Officials cite the interest of public service for the shuffle. These changes stay in force until the state issues further orders.

Sudhambika R. moves from SP of Unakoti to SP of Cyber Crime. Rishabh leaves his post as Additional SP of Gomati to take over as SP of Unakoti. Nabadwip Jamatia leaves Cyber Crime to run the 15th Battalion of the Tripura State Rifles. Sankar Debnath moves from the 6th Battalion of the TSR to lead the Economic Offences division. Timir Das takes the role of Additional Inspector General of Police for Training.

Among TPS officers, Piyamadhuri Majumder moves from Economic Offences to SP of Vigilance. Jeremia Darlong goes from Vigilance to Commandant of the CIAT School. Kisan Kumar takes over the State Crime Records Bureau. Anirban Das shifts from Commandant of SAF to SP of Gomati. H. Francis Darlong is the new SP of Anti-Narcotics, and Mina Kumari Debbarma becomes the SP of Serious Crime.

The move impacts many lower ranks. Ashish Kumar Thakur transfers from SDPO of Kanchanpur to Additional SP of the North district. D. Kudiarasu moves from SDPO of Khowai to Additional SP of Sepahijala. Dr. Chandan Saha keeps his SP role at MTF while holding extra duties for the Special Task Force and SB. Anirban Dhar Choudhury picks up the 12th Battalion TSR, and Amitabha Pal maintains his current work alongside Government Establishment Security duties. The Governor authorized the move via the General Administration Personnel and Training Department.
