Tripura Government Shuffles 47 Police Officers in Massive Reorganization

Agartala: Tripura officials moved 47 police officers on Thursday. The government ordered the transfers with immediate effect. These changes involve both Indian Police Service and Tripura Police Service personnel. The General Administration Department issued the orders under the Governor. They cited the public interest.

Sudhambika R. moves from Unakoti SP to SP of Cyber Crime. Rishabh takes over the Unakoti SP role. Nabadwip Jamatia leaves Cyber Crime to lead the 15th Battalion of the Tripura State Rifles. Sankar Debnath steps into the SP of Economic Offences post. Priyamadhuri Majumder shifts to SP of Vigilance. Jeremia Darlong now heads the CIAT School.

The shake-up reaches across departments. Kisan Kumar takes over as SP of the State Crime Records Bureau. Anirban Das heads to Gomati as SP. H. Francis Darlong is the new SP of Anti-Narcotics. Mina Kumari Debbarma manages Serious Crime. Ashish Kumar Thakur and D. Kudiarasu shift to North and Sepahijala as Additional SPs respectively.

Key roles get expanded reach. Dr. Chandan Saha retains charge of the Special Task Force and Additional SP of the Special Branch while handling the Mobile Task Force. Pannalal Sen now oversees law and order in Agartala as the new SDPO of Sadar subdivision. The state government stated the moves were made "in the interest of public service" and will remain in force until further notice. Dozens of other officers including Assistant Commandants and Deputy Superintendents also received new assignments.
