Kohima: Nagaland Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen ordered a major bureaucratic shakeup on August 4. The reshuffle affects 17 officers across various departments. These changes take effect immediately. Imchen stated the reassignments serve the interest of public service.
Abhijit Sinha, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Home Commissioner, adds the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department (DP&AR) to his portfolio. Dr. K.D. Vizo takes on the Law and Justice Department while continuing his work with the Chief Minister and Tribal Affairs. Asangla Imti moves from Water Resources to lead the School Education and SCERT Department. Kevileno Angami shifts from School Education and SCERT to the Health and Family Welfare Department.
Akunu S. Meyase drops Parliamentary Affairs to pick up the Water Resources Department. Kuko Mero adds Parliamentary Affairs to his current role in the Home Department. Nusieta Rhakho earns a promotion and moves to the Agriculture Department. Vechovo Tetseo also lands a promotion, heading to the Tribal Affairs Department as Additional Secretary. Vineet Kumar gains an additional charge as Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Renabomo Odyuo moves to Director of DUDA. Y. Chingyak Konyak becomes Director of the Food Processing Department. Samuel Thyug remains with the Finance Department while keeping his School Education duties until the NECTAR Project wraps up. Limanungsang transfers to the PHED, while Temsuchuba Jamir takes the post of SDO (Civil) in Mokokchung. Selema S. Sangtam stays as SDO (Civil) in Medziphema. Nchumbemo Humtsoe moves to the Tourism Department, and Akumlong Amer shifts to EAC, Pughoboto.
