Police say Mouluvi Imran and his juvenile accomplice lacked valid permits to store or sell the prescription cough syrup. Officials booked Imran under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Investigators are now tracking the wider supply network to pin down the source of the stash and identify other players in the distribution ring.
