Manager Assaulted and Robbed of Rs 3 Lakh in Dibrugarh Petrol Depot Raid

Guwahati: Unidentified attackers raided the Saligram Petrol Depot in the Lahowal area of Assam's Dibrugarh district at 3 am on July 30. They caught manager Bansi Lal Dug off guard. The crew tied him up and beat him, leaving him with severe head and hand injuries. Money vanished during the struggle.

The attackers took Rs 3 lakh in cash. They left Dug behind in critical condition. Locals found his blood-stained bed and rushed him to the Assam Medical College and Hospital for emergency treatment. He remains there now. Police officials stated: "Efforts are underway to identify and trace the accused."

Residents suspect a calculated robbery. Law enforcement officers arrived shortly after the incident to scour the scene for evidence. They are currently pulling every lead to track down the group. The investigation continues as police explore multiple motives for the violent heist.
