Manager Brutally Attacked During Petrol Depot Heist in Dibrugarh

Guwahati: Unidentified attackers brutally assaulted Banshi Lal Dugar, the manager of Saligram Petrol Depot in Lahowal, during a suspected dacoity early Thursday. The assailants struck around 3 am, leaving the site soaked in blood. The victim suffered severe head and hand injuries. Attackers tied Dugar’s hands before fleeing the scene.

Assailants stole several lakhs of rupees in cash. Locals believe the crime was a calculated robbery. Dugar remains in critical condition. He is receiving urgent care at Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh.

Police arrived at the depot shortly after the alarm was raised. Investigators are currently reviewing the crime scene. They are hunting for the suspects, treating the theft as the primary motive. As police continue their work, officials stated, "Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and launched a detailed investigation."
