Itanagar: The Keyi Panyor District Employees’ Forum (KPDEF) handed over 9 lakh rupees to help families recover from a recent cloudburst in Possa Yazali. The money will support immediate relief and rehabilitation efforts for those who lost property in the disaster.
A delegation led by Vice President of Administration Neelam Teji delivered the cheque to Deputy Commissioner Ankita Mishra. The group included DDSE Tabia Chobin, Secretary General Taba Nepa, and several executive members. They raised the funds through collective contributions from district staff.
Deputy Commissioner Mishra thanked the forum for the donation. She noted that help from various community sectors strengthens the ongoing recovery work. Neelam Teji highlighted the group's intent during the handover. "Our collective contribution is a small effort to extend support and solidarity to the families who have suffered due to the cloudburst. We stand with them in this difficult hour," Teji said.
The KPDEF expects the cash to address the urgent needs of victims while supplementing the district administration's own relief measures. The forum remains committed to assisting the community as recovery continues. This act moves beyond routine government work, showing the role of employees in emergency response.
