Kohima: The Purvanchal Bhikkhu Sangha arrived in Nagaland on August 23 to aid Kongan village. This Buddhist organization teamed up with Swiss devotee Monica Thaddey to deliver supplies. A July 24 landslide wrecked the local area. Debris choked roads and left families stranded. Supplies reached over 170 households.

The group previously worked in Sivasagar and Charaideo districts to help flood victims. General Secretary Nyanaloka Bhikkhu led the mission. He noted the group moved from flood zones directly to this landslide site. He told the crowd, "people must come forward to support those affected by floods and landslides in Assam and Nagaland during difficult times, stressing that humanity is greater than religion."

Local Konyak Naga community members thanked the team for the aid. They consider the supplies a vital contribution during a crisis. The operation showcased community solidarity after a natural disaster.
