Itanagar: Niti Vihar police in Itanagar shut down a two-wheeler theft ring this week. Officers recovered seven stolen scooters across the Itanagar Capital Region. The sweep marks a win for local law enforcement. Investigators tracked the stolen vehicles to various spots in Itanagar and Naharlagun.

Police solved three specific theft cases during the operation. These cases are registered as Niti Vihar Police Station Case Nos. 33/26, 34/26, and 36/26 under Section 305(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. They relied on steady intelligence work to pull it off. Several Children in Conflict with Law are now in custody for their alleged roles in the racket.

The work is not finished yet. Detectives are still identifying owners for some of the recovered bikes. "The investigation is ongoing, with further leads being pursued to uncover the full extent of the theft network," police said. Officers continue to hunt for more stolen property and potential suspects linked to the scheme.
