Itanagar: Itanagar police arrested six suspects and hauled in 11 stolen two-wheelers during a massive raid in the Nirjuli area. The group includes two minors. Officers pulled off the operation after an intense investigation into local vehicle theft.
Two specialized police teams tracked the suspects using a mix of field work, technical surveillance, and gathered intel. Sub-Inspectors Topi Josam and Gopal Tok led the teams on the ground. Assistant Superintendent of Police Rishi Longdo and Nirjuli Police Station officer-in-charge Inspector Tadu Hassang supervised the entire crackdown.
Naharlagun Superintendent of Police Nyelam Nega confirmed the recovery. The investigation remains active. Cops are currently checking if the detainees linked up with other theft rings or hid more stolen goods.
Nyelam Nega wants owners to stay smart. He said, "The public to remain alert and take necessary precautions while parking their vehicles, particularly during nighttime."
