Kohima: The Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 exhibition opened its doors on August 10 at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat in Kohima. This event stems from a partnership between the Department of Art and Culture and the Home Department as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Officials held the launch at Gate Number 1.
Kuko Mero, IAS, Secretary of the Home Department, served as the special guest for the opening. Mero stated, "the campaign is designed to showcase the unity, strength and integrity of the nation." The project aims to build a personal link with the Tiranga while marking the 150th anniversary of the national song, Vande Mataram.
Kr Temjenjungla, Assistant Archivist for the Department of Art and Culture, chaired the official program. Other attendees included Secretary of the Home Department Elizabeth Ngullie, Commissioner and Secretary Bodeno S Colo, and Director Adela Moa. Staff from both departments joined the senior officials at the ceremony.
The exhibition invites students and the public to view historical displays. Organizers installed photo booths at Gate Number 1 of the Secretariat and at the State Museum. They want visitors to snap pictures and upload them to the official Har Ghar Tiranga portal. This campaign marks a national push to bring the flag into every home.
