Guwahati: Four men faced police custody after a late-night assault at a Doddathoguru fast-food shop. The violence broke out on October 29. The suspects demanded food, then started a fight because the noodles were too spicy. Alcohol fueled the rage.

Electronic City police identified the attackers as Ravi Kumar, 31, Puttaswamy, 35, Manohar, 31, and Siddaraj. All four men live in Doddathoguru. They punched and kicked three Assamese workers after a verbal argument escalated into a brawl. A bystander tried to stop the fight. That bystander was also attacked.

CCTV footage of the assault hit the internet. The video shows the men knocking the victims to the ground. Police registered a Non-Cognizable Report after the workers filed a complaint. Officers served the suspects notices under legal provisions. A senior police officer stated, "The incident occurred late on October 29 at an eatery in Doddathoguru, under the jurisdiction of the Electronic City police station." The men were released pending further inquiry while legal proceedings continue.
