Imphal: Manipur will host its State Fish Fair-cum-Fish Crop Competition 2026 at Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal on November 10. The event runs from 8 am to 4 pm, just one day before the Ningol Chakkouba festival. Officials want to ensure affordable food for the holiday.
The Directorate of Fisheries set a 2 lakh kg sales target. Roughly 200 stalls will pack the venue. Despite the rising price of machinery and feed, farmers will drop prices by Rs 5 per kg compared to last year. The department stated the move was "intended as a festive gesture for consumers."
