Imphal: Gaichakliu Kamei took the crown. The 18-year-old from the Tamenglong district won the Femina Miss India Manipur 2027 title on Sunday at Vivanta Guwahati. This win secures her spot at the upcoming national grand finale. She earned the top prize after beating state finalists Alish Maibam and Zeneva Laikhuram during the regional Miss Northeast Diva auditions.
The road to victory started with preliminary mega auditions in Guwahati on October 26. The judging panel picked Kamei based on her poise, performance, and dedication. She belongs to the Zeliangrong Naga community. Kamei brings professional modeling experience to the stage. She also manages a social media platform that promotes self-confidence and youth empowerment for young women. Organisers confirmed that she has already started her training, noting that she has "begun preparations for the national competition" where she will represent her home state.
